Laneige minis – worth the hype?

We’ve all seen them everywhere – skincare by Laneige.
Is the products any good and/or worth the hype?

I got two minis to try and see if they suit me and my skin.
Unfortunately, I realized after getting them that Laneige is not a cruelty free brand..
This is a gamechanger for me and means that I’ll use them up, but I won’t repurchase anything from the brand.

So, before finding that out – I tried them for about two weeks and have formed my opinion.

▪️Let’s start with the water sleeping mask.

This is a overnight, moisture-recharging gel mask.
From my experience, it absorbs a lot quicker than other nigh-masks I’ve tried.
It provides a good amount of moisture to the skin and would be a good match for example oily-, combination- or normal skin.
If you have dry skin – there’s better alternatives out there.

During my test-period I used the mask about 3-4 times a week.
Woke up with hydrated skin but can’t say it made any huge impact or change for me.

▪️Second product I got was the cream skin refiner.

I’m not much of a toner-using-gal but this feels nice on my skin.
Feels soothing and hydrating and absorbs fairly quick.

This is recomended for dry skin and I can see the reason for it, but is it a must in your routine?
I’d say no to that. It’s a nice addition and for irritated and dry skin, this would be a good and calming product to use.

My conclusion is that they are both nice products that feels good on the skin, but worth all the hype? Naaah.. I havent seen any improvements on my skin that makes me want to continue to use them.
Not beeing cruelty-free also ruins it all for me.

Have you tried them?
What’s your thoughts on brands that arent Cruelty-free? 🐇🐁
